It has been 27 years since Shilpa Shetty made her Bollywood debut with Baazigar opposite Shah Rukh Khan. To celebrate this career milestone and the film's 27th anniversary, the actress shared some wonderful memories on social media.
SHILPA SHETTY WAS FREEZING WHILE SHOOTING FOR AE MERE HUMSAFAR
Ae Mere Humsafar was the first song Shilpa Shetty ever shot and in the video shared by the actress on social media, she recalls how it was shooting for the song with Shah Rukh. Shilpa shot the song in Igatpuri, which is a small hill station in Maharashtra. It was 5 degrees Celsius and she was freezing due to the weather. If you remember the song, you will know that Shilpa had nothing but a thin chiffon saree on in this song. She also recalled watching Baazigar with her mother in the theatre and talked about the audience's reaction to her death scene in the film.

ABOUT BAAZIGAR
The Abbas-Mustan-directed Baazigar released in 1993. Shilpa Shetty made her Bollywood debut with the film. The film also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rakhee Gulzar, Dalip Tahil and Johnny Lever. Baazigar is one of those films in which Shah Rukh was cast in a negative role, unlike the romantic hero he plays in most of his films. The film did a fabulous business at the box office and garnered several awards, including the Filmfare for Best Actor, Best Music Direction, Best Performance in a Comic Role, Best Male Playback Singer, Best Female Playback Singer. Shilpa Shetty won a Filmfare Award for Supporting Role for Baazigar. The songs of Baazigar remain an audience favourite even today.
